Description

Selects between the various different chorusing modes. With a value of 0 the chorusing modulation is completely off. Settings 1–3 increase the number of internal delay lines. Settings 4–7 are identical to settings 0–3, but with added chorusing to the outputs. Settings with a negative number have the various delay lines randomized so that they are completely independent of each other, which results in a more chaotic pitch variation.

This parameter is not available on the original hardware. Set the value to 0 for true emulation.

The original algorithm from the hardware does not use modulation. It uses a decay optimization function that changes internal parameters according to the input level.

This change in the reverb tail sounds different from earlier reverbs from the manufacturer.

The chorus controls in LX480 make the reverberation sound less metallic. This is done by making the delay times in the algorithm random. This can cause pitch variations in the reverberation tail.

This means that sound sources with very little pitch wobble/variation (such as guitar and piano) will need low chorus values or for the chorus to be inaudible.

The CHT parameter selects the type of chorusing modulation:

Set it to 0 for no chorusing modulation and the reverberation will sound the same as if you were using the hardware.
